As the Biotechnology Research Intern, you will participate on characterization of bioreactors, and novel sensing platforms for cell therapy applications. In collaboration with the research team, the candidate will run systematic experiments using bioreactors, and perform data acquisition and data analysis.

*Onsite Role for our Marlborough, MA location

As part of our team in Boston area, we are seeking a highly motivated intern with background in chemical and/or bioengineering.

As the Research Intern, you will participate on characterization of bioreactors, and novel sensing platforms for cell therapy applications. In collaboration with our scientists, the candidate will run systematic experiments using novel bioreactors, and perform data acquisition and data analysis. The Intern will get acquainted with various sensing technologies based on optics, acoustics, and electrochemistry.

What you will accomplish together with us:

  • You will run systematic experiments on bench-top bioreactors and novel sensor platforms, collect and analyze the data.
  • You will perform mammalian cell culture including Tcells and stem cells in biosafety 1 level.
  • Perform microscopy and process the images.
  • One of your duties will be to test/analyze novel sensing platforms.
  • In the event of an issue, you will troubleshoot issues with experimental design and execution.
  • In this role, you will summarize data, interpret results, and format data for reporting via presentation or publication.

  • Pursuing a Masters, or PhD in bioengineering, biomedical, mechanical engineering or related field.
  • Hands-on laboratory work and cell culture.
  • Data analysis and image processing is desired.
