The Aspen Institute Latinos and Society Program (AILAS) seeks to empower Latino communities and promote long-term economic growth and resiliency. We have four core initiatives:

  • Scholarships for Latinos to participate in Aspen Institute leadership programs

  • Aspen Latino Business and Entrepreneurship Initiative

  • Research on the Latino Inclusion in the Digital Economy

As the country builds back from the pandemic, Latino entrepreneurs are a critical part of our economic recovery. The new Aspen Latino Business & Entrepreneurship Initiative (LBEI) works to accelerate Latino-owned businesses' immediate and long-term growth across the U.S. The LBEI portfolio comprises the inaugural City Learning & Action Lab, the Latino Business & Entrepreneurship Summit, and new public programming we're looking to roll out in Spring 2022. Our team is looking for a proactive and energetic graduate intern who is passionate about the Latino business ownership to join us until December 2021 with the possibility of extending this internship until the Spring.

Intern Role:

Candidates must have exemplary organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to respond to rapidly changing priorities and have superior interpersonal skills. Successful interns are smart and curious, eager to learn and solve problems, and are driven by making an impact. They understand connections between their individual tasks and project goals and can map backwards from objectives to help organize and prioritize their work.
